Summer Camp starts in just ONE WEEK!

From painting and pottery to sewing, embroidery, Bluey-inspired art, dioramas, and more, Creative York has a summer full of creativity waiting for young artists.

We're excited to introduce the juror for Creative York's 2026 Adult Juried Art Exhibition: Maggie Moran.

Maggie Moran is an artist and educator whose work explores color, light, and the relationships between people and place. Her thoughtful approach to artmaking and strong exhibition experience make her an excellent choice to jury this year's exhibition.

Artists ages 18 and older are invited to submit original work in any medium for consideration. Cash awards totaling $1,000 will be presented, including a Best of Show award of $500.

Meet the artist this First Friday.

Chad Whitaker will be spending time in the Art Lab Gallery during First Friday, giving visitors the opportunity to learn more about his exhibition, An Impending Sense of Doom.

Through sculpture, photography, and video, Whitaker explores his experience with congestive heart failure, creating a medically surreal installation that reflects on diagnosis, uncertainty, resilience, and recovery.

Introduce your young artist to some of history's most famous creative minds.

In Mini Masters Art Camp, kids ages 5–7 will explore line, shape, color, form, and storytelling through projects inspired by artists like Picasso, Matisse, Van Gogh, Wayne Thiebaud, and Keith Haring.

Campers will experiment with printmaking, collage, painting, sculpture, and mixed media while creating colorful artwork and learning that there is no limit to imagination.

A fun, hands-on week designed to build creativity, confidence, and a love of art.

CALL FOR ARTISTS | 2 Weeks Left to Submit

The deadline is approaching for Creative York's 2026 Adult Juried Art Exhibition.

Artists age 18 and older are invited to submit up to three original works for consideration in this year's exhibition, on view in the Kerlin Gallery from August 13 through September 12, 2026. Fine art and fine craft in all mediums will be considered. Entries must have been completed within the past two years and not previously exhibited at Creative York.

Submission Deadline: Friday, June 12
Awards: $1,000 in cash prizes, including a $500 Best of Show award.

Join us next Saturday, June 6, for two special presentations connected to Artist Visions, our current exhibition featuring artists with vision impairments.

At 11 AM, Dr. Matthew Bilder of Ophthalmology Associates of York will present Vision and Revision, exploring how artists throughout history have adapted to changing sight.

At 1 PM, artist Jennifer Finlan will lead Knead More Ceramics, an informative demonstration and discussion of her signature sculptural work, the Finlan Rose.

Both events are free and open to the public and offer a unique opportunity to learn more about creativity, adaptation, and the artists featured in this inspiring exhibition.

Call For Artists:
Spend a day painting in one of York's beautiful outdoor spaces.

The Gold Star Garden Plein Air event invites artists of all skill levels to create artwork on location while enjoying the gardens, connecting with fellow artists, and finding inspiration in the landscape.

Registration includes lunch on the day of the event, plus the opportunity to exhibit your work and compete for cash prizes. Participating artists will also be invited to a reception and awards event later this year, where selected artwork will be displayed.

Whether you are an experienced plein air painter or trying outdoor painting for the first time, this event offers a welcoming and inspiring creative experience.
