Welcome to the official page of DANCE IT FORWARD® and the Greater York Youth Ballet—York’s nonprofit CENTER FOR EDUCATION & PERFORMANCE!
At Dance It Forward, our mission is simple yet powerful: bringing all people to dance. We are committed to providing the highest level of instruction, elite performances, and meaningful outreach activities that inspire a lifelong love of the performing arts. Excellence in Dance Education
As the region’s leading dance institution, we offer professional training across a variety of genres with a strong emphasis on technique, artistry, and personal growth. Our structured programs include:
✔️ The School of Ballet – Classical training that builds grace, strength, and discipline.
✔️ The School of Commercial Dance – Cutting-edge styles for dancers pursuing careers in entertainment.
✔️ Happy Feet Early Childhood Academy – Introducing young dancers to movement and music in a fun, nurturing environment.
✔️ Adult Dance Classes – Because dance is for everyone, at every stage of life! Performance & Opportunity
Through the Greater York Youth Ballet and our performing companies, we provide dancers with elite stage experiences while bringing high-quality dance productions to our community. One of our greatest accomplishments is helping high school students gain admission into top university dance programs, many with scholarships. Our focus on technique and artistry ensures that our dancers are well-prepared for college programs, professional auditions and beyond. For 55 years, we have shaped outstanding dancers and will continue to inspire the next generation of dance artists. At Dance It Forward, we are more than a dance school—we are your dance experts, your creative home, and your stage for limitless possibilities.

A special milestone for Caroline and Adalyn as they begin their pointe journey! 🩰
Pointe shoes aren’t simply given...they’re earned through dedication, strength, technique, and the care and guidance of their teachers. We’re so proud of the hard work that brought these two dancers to this moment, and we can’t wait to see where their journey takes them. Congratulations, Caroline and Adalyn!
