This has been a fun vision to bring to life! Construction starts now and Mural Arts Hotel will open in Spring 2027!

Meet Janice — Interior Designer at MIKO

Janice grew up in West Virginia (go Mountaineers!) and studied Interior Architecture and Design at Marymount University. She recently made the move from DC and is still getting to know the York area — so if you see her around town, say hi! When she’s not in the studio, she’s usually out on a trail, getting a workout in, or exploring somewhere new! Janice is Gen Z and only on TikTok so unfortunately this post won’t reach her! 😂

What she loves most about design is the moment a space comes to life. As she put it (when I forced her to write something for this post, “Seeing people enjoy something I’ve spent so much time creating- watching how they move through a space I helped build, especially when it makes even a small difference in their day- is my favorite part.”

That care for the people on the other side of the design is exactly what she brings to every MIKO project. ✨

This atrium at The Bond was so fun to reimagine. With the help of local talent, to paint a beautiful backdrop (wait until you see it IRL) and some custom handmade pieces ( ) this space gave serious sunset vibes.

And + + + + surprise birthday partied me here and I can personally attest - great sunset champagne spot! 🥂
