Attention members of IBEW Local 229. We are experiencing issues with our phone service. Power went out twice briefly which has created an issue with our phone equipment. It may take 48 hours to get resolved. The internet service still works, so email correspondence will be necessary until this is resolved. We apologize for the inconvenience.

Brothers and sisters tomorrow is the primary elections. There are a lot of important races happening all over. One of particular interest in our jurisdiction is for the Pa 196th. This is a special election and the primary at once. It is also noteworthy that if you are an independent you have the ability to vote in this particular special election. Ron was endorsed by the members of 229. Ron is 100% behind organizing and collective bargaining. While working for CBS 21 he was a member of the IBEW and served as President during his time. Please take time to vote tomorrow and help elect labor friendly candidates.

Much appreciation to everyone for coming out to this year's St Patrick's Day Parade!

We just wanted to remind our members of the parade tomorrow. We will begin setting up at 11:00 am. The parade kicks off from Penn St and Market St at 1:00 pm. We are in the 44th position, which is 3/4 of the way back of the line up. Much graditude to Robbie Edmonds for being the MC for us. We will have pizza, drinks, and shirts. Bring your family out and enjoy this festive parade with us. We look forward to seeing everyone!
