York Literacy Institute Next Step Program

The Next Step Program is designed to help current and former students with their “next step” in addition to receiving Adult Reading and English as a Second Language services from York County Literacy Council (YCLC). Some of the services that will be provided are resources for job obtainment, continuing education, attaining citizenship, and many other student named goals. The Next Step Program will work to create a long term connection with our students, by providing assistance and referral services to help Adult Reading as well as Intermediate and Advanced ESL students with their future endeavors .Next Step also keeps in contact with students by connecting former students to the YCLC Alumni Group and offering referral services to them as well. The Next Step Program will not only provide the opportunity to measure the long term impact of our services on our community but will act as an ongoing reminder for former students of why YCLC deserves their support.
