Introducing Our New Teacher Spotlight Series!
We’re excited to shine a light on the incredible teachers who inspire, support, and make a difference in our school community every day.
Through this new series, we’ll get to know the educators behind the lessons—learning about their passions, experiences, favorite moments, and what makes teaching meaningful to them.
Join us as we celebrate the people who help our students learn, grow, and thrive.

Painting outdoors can help children develop:
* 🎨 Creativity and self-expression — experimenting with colors, shapes, and ideas.
* 👀 Observation skills — noticing details in nature, light, textures, and changing surroundings.
* ✋ Fine-motor skills — holding brushes, mixing paint, and making controlled movements.
* 🧠 Problem-solving — deciding how to represent what they see and adapting to outdoor conditions.
* 🌿 Connection with nature — becoming more aware of plants, animals, weather, and the environment.
* 🗣️ Communication and vocabulary — describing what they see, feel, and create.
* 🧘 Focus and emotional development — spending time quietly observing and expressing feelings through art.
* 🤝 Social skills — sharing materials, discussing artwork, and working alongside other children.

Kids Kitchen Week #1.
“Cooking with children is a fun, hands-on learning experience that supports many areas of development. As children measure, mix, pour, and work together, they build confidence, strengthen fine-motor and early math skills, practice communication and cooperation, and become more comfortable trying new foods. Most importantly, cooking gives children a sense of accomplishment and makes learning meaningful and enjoyable.”
Today we screened 86 children in the KidSight Vision Program. Thank you Vision Corps for coming out and offering this free service to our kids!
