Spree Day Volunteers Needed!
Spree Day is almost here, and we need your help to make it a fun and memorable day for our students!

Parents, caregivers, grandparents, and family members are invited to sign up for a volunteer shift as long as you have an active CORI check on file. Whether you can help for an hour or stay longer, your support makes a huge difference and helps our event run smoothly.

Volunteering is a great way to be part of the excitement, connect with our school community, and put smiles on our students' faces.

Last week 420 students from the 35 elementary schools competed in the 47th Annual Worcester Public Schools Mini Olympics. Some of our May Street kids participated in track and field events at Foley Stadium. Congratulations to Soraya who made it to the finals!

Help build a giant American flag out of LEGO® for America's 250th birthday!

Patrons of all ages can stop by the Main Library to stack some bricks on Saturday, June 13, and help build our piece of an 8-ft LEGO® flag that will be showcased at the Boston Pops Fireworks Spectacular in celebration of America's Semiquincentennial!

Worcester Public Library is 1 of 4 libraries in Massachusetts who will build a piece of the LEGO® flag.

This program is made possible thanks to LEGO®, MA250, Massachusetts Board of Library Commissioners, and Boston Pops Fireworks Spectacular.

REMINDER- Today is Kindergarten Open House at May Street School. Our present Kidnergarteners DO NOT HAVE SCHOOL today while the incoming students come to visit.

Open Houses for Pre-K and Kindergarten on Wednesday, June 3 🖍️

On Wednesday, June 3, 2026, every elementary school in the Worcester Public Schools will hold an open house for children who will attend pre-kindergarten (pre-K) or kindergarten in the fall of 2026, along with their parents and caregivers.

The open houses are a chance for young students to see their new schools and for parents to speak with teachers and administrators about what school will be like.
