Garden room spring break vibes 🥰

We’ve been booked almost every weekend this winter but surprisingly still have availability in March for area spring breaks.

L O V E---It is such a simple four-letter word, yet so powerful. From the first time our eyes locked on each other in Miss Barr’s High School English class to connecting after awakening from triple bypass surgery, I have known the meaning of love. Fifty plus years is a long time to experience the ups and downs of the day to day grind of love. It is the deciding to stay the course even when ideas of quitting may entertain you on bad days. It is the joy of experiencing a life time of endless dates for coffee or watching grandchildren grow into young adults. Love is as simple as watching the robins return in the spring, only to make a nest, raise their young, and fly away at the end of the summer. Fifty years of living together, experiencing life is just that simple. As the storms come through, love teaches one to hunker down out of the storm, regroup, and wait for the sun to shine. My fifty some years has given me the opportunity to weather many storms yet experience the joy of waiting for the rays of sun to peak through the clouds with my forever lover.

Legend has it that even an oven specialist couldn’t figure out the issue with the Grandview Inn oven. Leave it to the resident handy man, PF, dentist by day, engineer of ovens by night. All that was missing in the other guys tool kit was a yardstick, duct tape, and a screwdriver on the ready in the shirt pocket. He’s not for hire, other than for his high school sweetheart, Mary Joyce. He’ll fix her oven anytime.

Legend has it PF could be found at Steffes (now Gary’s)True Value every Christmas Eve for all last minute practical items. New flashlights, pots and pans and duct tape were traditional *gifts* his kids would receive.

Many rounds of knock out/ lightning have been played on this court. We dug out a basement under the house in the 1990s.

Our resident visionary, affectionately named PF, (short for Patrick Francis) thought that we could turn the two car garage that was attached to the house into an indoor basketball ½ court, and that just what we did.
