We are so proud of one of our own!
Firefighter Matt Cooper has written and published a book, "In Case I Don't Come Home, Letters to My Son." Matt started with a question every firefighter has thought about at some point: if I didn't come home tomorrow, what would I want my son to know? The result is a collection of letters that is personal, honest, and full of heart.
Come celebrate with us at his book signing tomorrow night!

Today we pause to honor the men and women who gave their lives in service to our country.
Memorial Day isn't about us in the fire service- it belongs to those who never came home from war. But we understand sacrifice and what it means to lose someone who answered the call. So we stand with Gold Star families, with veterans who carry the weight of friends lost, and with every community remembering a name today.
To those who made the ultimate sacrifice: thank you. We remember.

As we wind down EMS Week, we wanted to give a shout-out to our partners at Thompson Valley EMS and UCHealth EMS. Our crews swung by both with treats and dinner- a small thank-you for everything they do.
Day in and day out, they show up for our community during some of the hardest moments of people's lives, with skill, compassion, and grit. We're lucky to work alongside them on calls, and even luckier to call them partners and friends.
From all of us at Windsor Severance Fire Rescue: thank you for the care you bring, the lives you touch, and the difference you make. We see you, we appreciate you, and we're better because of you.
