Congratulations to Officer Cosker on being recognized as the Windsor Police Department Officer of the Year!

Officer Cosker brings a positive attitude to work every single day and is someone both the department and community can always count on. Whether it’s being first to respond to calls, helping fellow officers without hesitation, mentoring recruits as a Field Training Officer, or conducting thorough investigations, Officer Cosker consistently sets the standard through professionalism, teamwork, and dedication.

What stands out most is the respect and compassion Officer Cosker shows to everyone encountered while serving the community. Officer Cosker’s work ethic, leadership, and willingness to help others make those around him better.

The Town Council has officially proclaimed April 12–18, 2026, as National Public Safety Telecommunicators Week, recognizing the men and women behind the scenes who are often the first point of contact in an emergency. Their calm under pressure, quick decision-making, and professionalism play a critical role in keeping our community safe!

Please join us in congratulating Officer Shannon Grimes on her graduation from the 388th Session of the Connecticut Police Academy.

Officer Grimes will now begin her Field Training Program, where she will continue to build the skills and experience necessary to serve our community.

We are proud to welcome Officer Grimes to the department and wish her a safe, successful, and rewarding career.

The Windsor Police Department is very pleased to congratulate Officers Tyler Stoner and Joseph Lajoie on their graduation from the Connecticut Police Academy in Meriden. They will now begin their Field Training and Evaluation Program. Please help us welcome them to a safe and rewarding career!

Brave souls descend Mohegan Sun building in support of Special Olympics CT 09/05/2025

Our Special Olympics of CT Ambassador, Matt Glad, bravely rappelled down more than 30 stories at Mohegan Sun during the Over the Edge fundraiser in support of Special Olympics Connecticut. We are proud of you, Matt!

Brave souls descend Mohegan Sun building in support of Special Olympics CT Some brave souls – including our very own Matt Finkel – made their way down the outside of the Sky Building at Mohegan Sun. It’s all to support the Going Over the Edge fundraiser for Special Olympics Connecticut.
