What a privilege it is to serve our community. Over 300 community members joined us on Saturday for the Greatest American Cleanup. We filled eight dumpsters with bulky household items, and we filled a tractor trailer with tires. Thank you all for a great day! This Yard of the Month demonstrates the homeowners' intentionality with the design of their yard. We love the beautiful greenery and attention to detail!

♻️GREAT AMERICAN CLEANUP♻️

Ready to do some spring cleaning? Keep Barrow Beautiful is once again participating in the Great American Cleanup -- a chance to recycle a variety of goods just by swinging by Victor Lord Park from 9 a.m. to noon on Saturday, May 30!

Accepted items include:

✅ Scrap metal and metal objects
✅ Documents for shredding
✅ Electronics and flat panel TVs (no CRTs!)
✅ Appliances (non-freon)
✅ Eyeglasses
✅ Mattresses and box springs
✅ Bulky household items/furniture
✅ Standard tires (limit 8 per vehicle, restrictions apply)
✅ Car batteries

Items that are NOT allowed:

❌ Household garbage
❌ Construction materials
❌ Motor oil
❌ Paint (all types)
❌ Pressurized containers
❌ Flammable, explosive, toxic or corrosive materials

This event is open to Barrow County residents ONLY. We can't wait to see you there!

Keep Barrow Beautiful is wrapping up a fantastic year of collection and cleanup events, as well as recognizing beautiful yards right here in Barrow County. Keep Barrow Beautiful has once again met the qualifications to receive the President's Circle Recognition Award for 2025. We are glad to serve Barrow County in promoting cleaner and more beautiful communities. Thank you to our volunteers, passionate board of directors, and county and community partners for another great year.

For Barrow County residents only, Keep Barrow Beautiful is hosting its Fall 2025 Collection Event on Saturday, November 1 from 9 a.m. until 12 p.m. at Victor Lord Park, 82 Maynard Street in Winder!

Being the second event of the year, this will be a limited event for residents to have another opportunity to safely dispose of electronics, appliances (no freon), scrap metal, mattresses, and more at no cost. After this limited event, it's anticipated that the next full event will take place in May of 2026.
