Sascha Harvey grew up in Van Buren, Arkansas, spending his time writing, drawing, and subjecting his mom and dog to participating in weird business ventures. His thesis project is a 12-month calendar of invasive species in Kansas, dedicated to raising awareness with accessible information. Passionate about print, illustration, and advertising, he hopes to work as an in-house designer after graduating.

Design gives Shaybree Hanes a space to channel her logic and empathy into visual solutions. Blending strategy with storytelling and creativity, she is skilled in UI/UX, branding, and marketing. Her thesis project aims to increase understanding in medicine packaging with icons and simplified visuals as well as clarity and compassion.

After graduating, Savannah Shively will be returning to her hometown, Argonia, to be a K-12 art and design teacher and inspire the next generation of artists. Her thesis project, Pawsh, is a bold and playful cat food brand with easily accessible and readable information. With specified feeding information, she hopes to increase nutrition for all.

Inspired by his first design teacher, Mark D***s, Nathan Lawson has a passion for branding, illustration, and advertising. His thesis project, Spark Education, is tackling the lack of visual aides in middle school classrooms. He hopes to create a guide for teachers using successful examples of visual communication in classroom learning.

From Claremore, Oklahoma, Natalie Thompson wanted to find a way to be creative throughout adulthood. Now, specializing in marketing, branding, and print, she is getting ready for her role as an in-house designer and marketing coordinator for Hinkle Law Firm. Her thesis project is a series of children’s books showing the direct effects of global warming on arctic animals.

A Wichita native, Mariah Gilmartin hopes to work at a print shop or work remotely in marketing or graphic design. Her thesis project is a training app for college coaches dedicated to tackling poor coaching practices on collegiate student-athletes. She hopes to help coaches understand how to create positive experiences for their athletes.
