Effective Dec. 1, Hospitality Management LLC has switched brands on its two Best Western Plus hotels in Lawrence, Kan., and Norman, Okla., now operating each under the name StoneHill, Trademark Collection by Wyndham.

“We’re very excited to bring these properties under the umbrella of Trademark Collection by Wyndham,” said Steven J. Martens, CEO of The Martens Companies and its subsidiary, Hospitality Management LLC. “StoneHill and Trademark Collection offer us the perfect opportunity to meld our hospitality concept with the elevated guest experience we want to provide. The Trademark Collection brand is defined by a spirit of individuality, offering a unique and distinctive guest experience in the upper-midscale market for both business and leisure travelers. As independent hoteliers, that fits us like a glove.

“These properties were each designed to reflect the vibe of their respective college towns – the University of Kansas at Lawrence, and University of Oklahoma at Norman,” Martens continued. “We intentionally created spacious lobbies and inviting outdoor patios with fire pits and barbecue grills so guests could relax and gather. After months of forced separation by the pandemic, guests now crave these collective gathering spaces, especially when they are traveling with extended family. For guests attending university events, our common areas have helped make us the parents’ HQ for tailgates, reunions and year-round campus visits.”

General Manager Rusa Zubiashvili of our Hospitality Management LLC's Best Western Plus Norman property received her U.S. citizenship last month. We are so thrilled for Rusa and are very grateful to have her on our hospitality team!

Rusa was born in the Republic of Georgia. War forced her and her family to leave for the UK in 2008, and in 2013 Rusa and her three children moved to the U.S. In 2016, she joined the BWP Norman as Housekeeping Supervisor and she is now GM!

Very proud of our staff at Norman and their work with the OU Food Pantry. Many college students struggle with funds to purchase both food and personal hygiene items. The OU Food Pantry is a tremendous resource for students and staff alike at OU. We are honored to partner with the pantry throughout the year providing shampoo, soap, and other personal necessities.

Campus food pantries serving hungry students OKLAHOMA CITY -- For nearly two years, thousands of staff and students have visited a small food bank located right on the University of Oklahoma campus.
