An absolutely amazing human being ...she hit the stage like she did life- full on with love..what an incredible, fantastic star we have lost..

There are some losses so poignant so devastating, that we can’t find words to express our grief. Losing Melinda Ryder is one of them. Melinda Ryder - a fervent fighter, an advocate, a protector, our Queen - a true legend has taken her final bow.
Our community has lost one of its fiercest warriors.
The memories, the stories, the laughter - her presence that commanded any room- She brought it. And, on top of it all, her greatest performances were the battles she fought for others.
Melinda stood in the trenches and fought for those living with HIV/ AIDS, she fought against Cancer, and fought for the rights of our community. She used her powerful voice, her courage, and her generous heart to advocate for others, while silently fighting her own health battles.
Hey Melinda - you were a force of nature until the end. You stood up for people who didn’t have a voice. You brought laughter, rainbow fringe, strength, and love to many of us, and your family at Missie B’s will never feel the same without you.
Kirk, our hearts go out to you. There are no words big enough for this kind of love.
