🗳️ A little civic engagement with lunch? Yes, please!

A HUGE thank you to the League of Women Voters of Wichita Metro for spending time with our Pioneers at West High!

Students had the chance to learn about the importance of civic engagement, voting and making their voices heard in our community. The League also helped eligible seniors who were interested register to vote.

We love seeing our community partners bring real-world learning opportunities right to our students.

Special shoutout to Mrs. Gonzalez for making it all happen! Thank you for bringing this opportunity to West! 💛

The West High Pioneer Marching Band is bringing home TWO new pieces of hardware from yesterday's Capital City Marching Festival at Washburn University!

And the wins don't stop with the trophies - it was noted that these Pioneers represented West with kindness, encouragement and respect throughout the competition. THAT'S what West being BEST looks like!

🎨 It’s and West High artists are showing OUT!

A HUGE congratulations to West High graphic design teacher Ms. (McQueary) Davis, whose solo exhibition, Form and Color, opens tonight at Harvester Arts.

Our students are showing at Harvester Arts, too! 🤩

West High seniors Lindsey Kelley and Diana “Cruz” Velazquez-Cruz have work featured in WSU ShiftSpace gallery's Extra Credit, an exhibition celebrating the artistic connection between educators and their students. Their work is exhibited alongside a painting by West High drawing and painting teacher Mr. Goon.

You can also find a painting by Mr. Goon in the group exhibition There’s No Place Like Home on the Harvester Arts Warped Wall.
