Golf Wichita is transitioning to a new tee sheet and point-of-sale system to create a smoother booking process, better accuracy, and a more streamlined experience from reservation to check-in.

Account Setup
In March you received an email from MemberSports prompting you to create an account. If you did create the account, you’ll be ready for May 12. If you did not create an account, visit membersports.com to complete your account setup by entering you email and clicking “forgot password”.
This step is required to activate your account and ensures you’re ready to book a tee-time online at a Golf Wichita course when the system becomes available May 12.
We understand this is a temporary inconvenience, and we appreciate your patience as we make this upgrade.

Do you know any city or county employees? Encourage them to sign up a team for the Spring edition of the Employee Golf Tournament. *Only the team captain needs to be a city or county employee.
This event directly supports our Hook a Kid on Golf camps. Through these camps, kids are introduced to the game from the ground up, learning the fundamentals while building confidence and life skills. Each participant leaves camp with their own set of clubs, giving them the opportunity to continue their golf journey long after the program ends.
We’re also changing things up this year with the Spring tournament being held at Auburn Hills, offering a new setting for teams to compete and connect.

Don’t forget you are playing for a chance to be forever engraved into the coveted Traveling Trophy. The winning team will live forever on the trophy and get it to display it at their office until our Fall edition of the tournament.
Junior Appreciation Day at Tex Consolver scheduled for tomorrow has been canceled. Due to the forecasted high winds, with gusts expected to reach 30–40 mph, we do not feel it will be an enjoyable or safe experience for anyone involved. We are hopeful that we will be able to postpone the event and reschedule for a later date. Thank you for your understanding.

Junior Golf Day!

Jesse is giving a quick rundown of what the day will look like, including free food, ice cream, clinics, and prizes.
For anyone wanting to compete in the Junior Skills Challenge this year, you must be at Tex Consolver and signed up by 1:30 p.m. This is important because it will be a bracketed competition and late arrivals will not be able to be worked in. There will be age and gender divisions to make it as fair as possible.
The weather forecast is top of mind for us. Right now we are still set to go, but please be checking for updates regarding cancelation due to weather. This will be communicated through our app, webpage, and this page.
New event at the renovated MacDonald Golf Course!
Cinco De Mayo themed, the Tri-Format Fiesta is a unique 2-person event. It will consist of three different formats: best ball, alternate shot, and scramble.
Your tournament entry will include 18 holes of golf, cart rental, full range access, a drink ticket, our themed taco bar and a shot at prizes. All payouts will be flighted based on the total number of entries to ensure players of every skill level have a chance to win!

Calling all junior golfers! Join us for a fun-filled afternoon celebrating junior golf in the Wichita area on Saturday, April 11 from 1–5 p.m. at Tex Consolver Golf Course.
This FREE community event is packed with activities for golfers of all ages and skill levels. Meet local golf professionals, participate in clinics, and enjoy a day designed to get kids excited about the game of golf.
New this year: the Junior Skills Challenge! Instead of a point-based contest, golfers will compete in head-to-head challenges in a bracket-style format. Winners advance through the bracket as they test their skills against other juniors. To keep the competition fair, there will be multiple age groups so players compete against golfers in similar age ranges.
The only way to compete in the Skills Challenge is to show up the day of the event and enter, so make sure you don’t miss it!

The first day of spring marks the start of a new season on the golf course and, of course, everyone’s favorite tradition… green aeration. We know, we know, it’s not exactly the round you look forward to, but it is one of the most important steps in setting up great conditions for the months ahead.
As the turf comes out of winter dormancy, the soil is often compacted and in need of relief. Aeration allows air, water, and nutrients to reach the root system, promoting deeper, stronger growth and helping the grass recover and thrive. This process also improves drainage and leads to smoother, more consistent playing conditions as the season progresses.
While the short term impact on the greens can be noticeable, this work is essential to delivering the healthy, high quality playing surfaces you expect throughout the year.
