WRA is a local not-for-profit group that has been promoting rowing in Wichita for over 38 years
Currently based on the Little Arkansas River in Riverside Park and also rowing on the big Arkansas River in downtown Wichita, the Association owns a number of sculling and sweep shells and other equipment for the use of its members and the community through organized classes and events.

A race around the river bend The Frostbite Regatta has attracted hundreds of rowing clubs to Wichita since its start in 1992. The competition is hosted by the Wichita Rowing Association and takes place on the first Sunday in November. KMUW's Lu Anne Stephens was there this year and has this Wichita Soundscape.

Another great Frostbite Regatta in the books!

If you have any 8th graders through seniors who are interested in joining the team, come down to our boathouse at 5pm this Tuesday!

Last night we had a mixture of season veterans mixed with 2nd day of rowing newbies and the boat got up to all 8!
It's been fun watching the club mesh and get out some bigger boats this summer!

We are looking for local businesses or families who would be interested in helping our team grow! We are needing to buy some new boats and oars to stay competitive and keep up with our growing crew! π£ββοΈπ£ββοΈ
Rowing is a very expensive sport and boats range from $10k-40k per boat! π±π€―
We host a regatta here every year! This year Frostbite will be Sunday, November 3rd! We plan to show off and thank all of our sponsors here!π

First time sculling and 2nd time on the water for our middle pair today! If you have a 8th grade- 12th grade child who would like to come try out rowing, we have an information meeting this Tuesday, August 5th at 5pm!
We've had several new people start in the past couple weeks and would love to add a few more before our season starts! π£ββοΈπ£ββοΈ
Alright Wichita, we are looking for a couple more athletic and motivated guys to join our team!! We have a couple guys on the team, but need 2 more to complete a men's boat! So if you have a son who is in 8th grade through 12th, we'd love to have him come try out rowing! π£ββοΈ
Our juniors team is looking for a few more rowers to join the team! If you have an 8th grader through a senior who would like to try a new sport, send me a message!
