Today is National Egg Day, and we have thoughts.

Neighbors who visit our food pantry don't just get eggs. They get GOOD eggs. We partner with a local farmer who sells us farm-fresh eggs, donates his surplus, and often throws in meat products when he has extra to give. The Kansas Food Bank sends us Vital Farms eggs, pasture-raised, for distribution right here in the neighborhood.

Fresh eggs tend to get treated like a luxury. We don't think they should be. Scrambled, fried, baked into something your grandma used to make, however you take them, everybody deserves a really good egg.

Our office and Community Food Pantry are closed today for Memorial Day.

We are incredibly grateful for our partners at United Way of the Plains and their support of our Community Food Pantry. to a healthy community!
