From practicing golf swings alongside professional golfers to building confidence through new experiences, this event showcased the power of collaboration, inclusion, and meaningful community partnerships.

Throughout her visit, Mayor Wu took the time to meet our team, tour our facility, learn about autism services, and most importantly, listen. She asked thoughtful questions about the needs of Wichita families and how our community can continue moving beyond awareness toward true acceptance and inclusion.

At Little Stars, we believe every individual deserves the opportunity to thrive, belong, and be celebrated for who they are. Conversations like these help create a stronger, more inclusive community for the children and families we serve every day.

Yesterday’s Water Play Day was all sunshine, smiles, and meaningful moments ☀️💦

At Little Stars, we spent the day out in the sun, taking learning beyond the walls of our center and into new environments—where growth looks like trying new skills, exploring new spaces, and celebrating every small win.

Most importantly, it was a day focused on connection: between staff and clients, between peers, and within each moment of shared joy. 💙

Skill-building can look like splashing, laughing, waiting your turn, and engaging with the world in new ways—and today, it looked like all of that and more.

Some people leave a job. Others leave a legacy. 💙

Today we celebrate Helen Miller as she begins her well-deserved retirement.

Helen has spent years helping children find their voices, teaching our team the importance of building language, and showing us what true compassion, patience, and dedication look like. Her impact extends far beyond the walls of Little Stars—it lives on in the children she supported, the families she encouraged, and the countless team members she mentored along the way.

Because of Helen, we are better clinicians, better advocates, and better people.

In just 5 short months, Savannah, our Caregiver Support Provider, has completed 30 community outings with our clients and families.

That’s 30 opportunities to build skills in real-world settings, advocate for meaningful progress, and strengthen the connection between home, community, and care.

Savannah is known for her bubbly, goofy personality and her natural ability to build trust and lasting relationships with the families, clients, and teams she supports. She shows up consistently, meets people where they are, and makes learning feel fun and approachable.

We’re grateful for the energy, heart, and dedication she brings into every outing—and the real impact she’s making across the families we serve.
