What happens when we choose conversation over conflict?

Cure Violence ICT is creating spaces where people can come together, share experiences, find common ground, and turn conflict into connection.

“A lot of times, you and I might see each other and not like each other, and that’s because we didn’t sit down and have a conversation,” said Dr. Kevin Harrison, Senior Program Director for Cure Violence ICT.

Cure Violence ICT hosts event focused on turning conflict into connection Organizers say that sharing conversation and experiences with another person can prevent conflict and reduce gun violence.

Here at Destination Innovation, we have several programs designed to keep young people connected, supported, and involved throughout the school year!

Through our Rise Up For Youth program, students are surrounded by a strong community, caring mentors, and valuable resources that help them thrive both inside and outside the classroom. We were honored to host a drop-in class for Camp Destination Innovation, and this group had a blast! Most of these kids had never touched a golf club or set foot on a course before, so getting to teach them something brand new was a ton of fun.
Beyond the swings, we toured the facility and talked about why it matters to explore your hobbies and interests. Those passions open doors to new people and new networks, and learning to build those connections early is one of the biggest advantages a young leader can have.

Destination Innovation helps young people form bold ideas that can transform their community and build leadership for generations to come. We feel lucky every time we get to share our mission alongside other amazing organizations.

Together, we built a few more game changers.
