This one feels like the kind of bathroom you accidentally spend an hour in.
Candle lit. Music on. Everything slower for a minute.

When this client came to me, this bathroom definitely needed a refresh. We leaned into pattern, warmth, and a little personality to give it a completely different feel without losing the charm of the home. The soft green vanity, vintage-inspired tile, warm brass mirror, and layered lighting made this tiny room feel intentional instead of overlooked.
Meanwhile⌠behind the scenes, Iâm finally moving into my own house this week after a YEAR of remodeling from the studs. Let me tell ya⌠owning a business, being a full-time mom, and renovating an entire home is not for the weak. đ There were definitely moments where I questioned my sanity somewhere between drywall dust, client meetings, and bedtime routines.
I can confidently say I deeply understand the process my clients are walking through. The decision fatigue, the chaos, the excitement when it finally starts coming together⌠all of it.
And honestly? When a plan comes together like this... it makes every second worth it. â¨

One of the biggest things my clients say before we start? âI donât even know where to begin.â
And honestly⌠that feeling makes sense. if thereâs one thing that Iâve learned from working in an architectural firm to owning my own residential interior design business, is that there are so many decisions to be made â no matter the size of the project. A renovation comes with a million decisions, Pinterest overload, conflicting opinions, budgets, timelines, and trying to picture how everything will come together before a single thing is installed.
Thatâs why I care so much about creating a process that feels clear and collaborative from the very beginning.
This review meant so much to me because this is exactly what Rooted is here to do:
Take the overwhelm off your plate and turn it into a home that feels personal and beautifully put together from start to finish. đ¤

Walking into the weekend excited⌠we are preparing to move into our new house after a year of remodeling. 𼚠so you might not hear from me for a while. In the meantime â Iâm going to have to get me one of these Planterior custom pieces for my own house. đđąđŞ´

When this client came to Rooted with a dream (and really good taste), I was over the moon to start designing.
I approach projects a little differently than most designersâI build everything in 3D while Iâm selecting finishes from the very beginning. It helps me understand whatâs working (and whatâs not) before anything ever gets presented. Itâs how I learned in an architectural firm, and itâs something Iâve carried into every project since.
I still remember our first Zoom call⌠they werenât sure what to expect, but said, âThis is exactly what weâve been picturingâwe just didnât know how to pull it together.â
That moment never gets old.
And this kitchen⌠Iâm so happy with how it turned out. The slim shaker cabinetry, the built-in lighting, the warmth layered throughoutâit all came together in the best way.
This is the kind of kitchen that doesnât just photograph wellâit lives well. Morning coffee, weeknight dinners, hosting without overthinking it⌠it all fits here.
Design that feels effortless is never accidental.
If youâre planning a home and want it to feel this considered from the start, thatâs exactly where we come in.

Imagine walking into your home knowing it all came together exactly as you imagined AND you didn't have to run into unforeseen issues along the way (saving $$$$).
Thatâs the difference a clear design plan makes.
If youâve been collecting ideas but canât quite pull it all together, this is your sign to stop guessing, putting together a million Pinterest ideas that never come to fruition, not being able to explain exactly what you want to a builder...
Comment âDESIGNâ and Iâll send you the details on how we can map out your home room by room.

Happy Monday.
Plum brown was just named one of the cabinet colors of the year, and I have to say⌠Iâm really loving it here. The richness of this color paired with warm brass accents and marble flooring makes this laundry room feel elevated while still being incredibly practical.
Iâm so happy with how these selections came together. When clients are willing to step just a little outside their comfort zone, thatâs when a home starts to feel truly personalized and custom.
Traveling to another town in western Kansas today for a project visit. I canât wait to share more soon.

Project Emerald Bay | Laundry Room
A place I'd actually love doing laundry. Why is it that most laundry rooms in the midwest never have a window? đ¤ This laundry room layers rich color and classic detailing to create a space that feels both hardworking and beautiful. Deep plum cabinetry adds warmth and depth, paired with brass hardware and plumbing fixtures that bring in a soft glow.
Vertical board and batten keeps the walls light and textured, while the dark countertop grounds the palette. A marble mosaic floor tile adds movement and interest underfoot, and a simple farmhouse sink beneath the window keeps the room feeling timeless and functional.

A home that feels âfinishedâ isnât the same as one that feels like you. đźď¸đđ
Custom interiors arenât about filling a home with beautiful pieces⌠theyâre about creating something that reflects your lifestyle, your story, and the way you actually live.
Because no two clients are the sameâand your home shouldnât feel like it came from a catalog.
Itâs the intentional details.
The tailored selections.
The way everything works together without you having to overthink every decision.
Thatâs where thoughtful design makes the difference.
At Rooted Interior Design, we guide you through the process of creating a home that feels aligned, elevated, and unmistakably yoursâwithout adding more stress to your plate.
If youâve been craving a home that finally feels complete⌠this is where it starts.
