Looking for something fun to do from home with the kids this summer? Help us Rock the Library!
We already have some painted rocks decorating and celebrating at the library, along with kindness rocks ready to brighten someone’s day. Now we’d love for you to join in!
Paint some rocks at home, bring them to the library, leave some for others to find, and take some home to enjoy. It’s a simple “leave one, take one” way to share creativity, kindness, and summer fun with our community.
And we want to know: if the library held a Rock the Library event in July to celebrate America 250, would your family want to join us?
Let us know in the comments!

What a wonderful week at the library! 📚✨
There is something truly special about seeing people come together to learn, share, create, and connect — and this week was a beautiful example of that.
The Garden Club welcomed Dr. Dotty Woodson of D and B Orchids for the Garden Club program. Dr. Woodson spent more than 30 years with the Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service, and some of you may also remember her from her appearances on NBC5 Sunday morning newscasts. We are so grateful she shared her knowledge and experience with our community!
We enjoyed a patriotic Storytime with “Betsy Ross,” portrayed by Judy Pharr of the Ft. Graham Chapter of the DAR, as part of our America250 initiative. It was a wonderful way to bring history to life for our young readers and families.
And finally, our newest community puzzle is complete! 🧩 Over the last few weeks, visitors have stopped to add pieces, and it is the tiniest example of how coming together for a common goal ......little by little.... a picture emerges until something beautiful exists!
Thank you to everyone who visited, participated, learned, and helped make the library such a lively and welcoming place this week. We love seeing what happens when our community comes together! ❤️
