Ever wonder how much thread the Thread Shed goes through in a year? Well we were curious. This is one year of empty cones of thread. The big ones = 5,000 meters or 1,000,000 stitches the small ones = 1,000 meters or 200,000 stitches. If my calculations are correct this is 135,000,000 stitches. Now we all know.

I don't think we're going to make it to climb Mt. Everest, but we did get the opportunity to help Himali by embroidering jackets for people that will. It's so cool to see customers wearing our work.

Without having a clue what I was getting into, 20 years ago this month, I applied for a business license to start this company.
It grew from 1 machine in the corner of our basement to 8 machines in our bursting at the seams shop.
I've met a lot of great people along the way. Customers that have been there since practically day 1, partnerships that have given me insight and encouraged me to keep going. All the referrals from friends, family and customers. So many people that have dedicated their time to help trim, fold and fix broken threads. Now I have the 2 best employees anyone could ever ask for, Jess and Marcy. There is no way I could do without them. My husband and son who have been there the entire time backing me up and listening to all the ups and downs.
It's been a lot of blood, sweat and tears and even a broken wrist, but still here after 20 years.
