The New Beef

The New Beef started in 2002, the brain-child of the Golen family. Our meat is processed at a USDA-inspected facility to ensure safety of our product.

We started the business with the goal of selling quality, healthy, home-grown local beef to those tired of buying fat, steroid-filled meat of unknown origin from the supermarket. Studies conducted in the last five years have shown that growth steroids and hormones fed to beef cattle to accelerate growth are retained in the meat itself, and could be detrimental to human health.
