Colorado Earth Science Network

The Colorado Science Conference is underway, at CSU-Spur. Our booth (CESN, Colorado Earth Space Science Network), is on the 2nd level in the Vida Building.

A last night (tonight) looking at comet Tsuchinshan-Atlas. Waiting for a big cloud bank to move out of the way until finally, the comet appeared from beneath it. 7:44 and 8:00 p.m., Colorado Springs.

After a couple of evenings with clouds blocking the western sky over the Rampart Range, tonight we finally got to see comet Tsuchinshan-Atlas!

April 20, at Calvary Church in Golden, for a stimulating/fascinating talk on "When the Colorado Ran North" by Jim Sears, Univ. of Montana. Also viewable online; see our CSS website for the Zoom link, abstract, speaker bio, and more. Ya'll come! Come in person and you get to meet the speaker, have refreshments, a chance to buy one of our new CSS t-shirts or a copy of "Geology of Boulder County", socialize with all our other CSS members, and more!

To science educator friends--some photos, getting the Denver Gem and Mineral Guild's gem and mineral show set up at the Jeffco Fairgrounds. I'll have here, a table with free copies of the (last year's) AGI Earth Science Week teacher packet (in the photo). The show opens at 10 a.m. tomorrow, Friday the 24th.
