We are Walt and Jenny White, two professional DJs who just happened to fall in love and have been having fun supporting one another in music (and beyond!) ever since. Combined, we have over 35 years of professional experience DJing nightclubs, music festivals, weddings, special events, community gatherings, brand launches, fashion shows, in-store events, corporate functions, fitness/yoga classes & festivals, and more.

Walt is respected in the electronic music scene for his flawless mixing and his deep knowledge and expertise in DJ workflow, talent development, production/event management. Jenny is one of the most sought after support DJs for a wide variety of world-renowned artists because of her unique ability to curate specific sounds and build a crowd energy.

We're known around the music scene for our technical/mixing skills, professionalism, stage presence/reading the crowd, music programming and production knowledge. We created Wander Beats to bring our high expectations in DJ skills, professionalism, talent, and energy to the special events world.

At Wander Beats, we don't operate playlists - if you wanted your music played in an order where it didn't match harmonically, elegantly mix it together, and build energy with impressive delivery, you would just setup your iPod, right?! We believe that each event is completely unique, so we take the time to learn about your style and musical preferences, then combine that with our skillset in reading the room to deliver the most unforgettable sound track for your special day.

Catch me live on May 15 at the first of four, FREE concerts at Wheat Ridge’s newest park: The Green at 38th. I’ll be spinning from 6 – 9 p.m., bringing the vibes while the sun sets.

Pull up with your people, grab a blanket or lawn chair, and let’s turn this beautiful outdoor space into a whole experience. Good music, good energy, good community… you already know. See you there!

Because an empty dance floor isn’t an option⚡️
Here is exactly how to keep the energy at a 10/10 until the lights come up:

🪩 Choose a DJ who is actively playing in the nightclub and music festival scene, plays weddings like it’s no one’s business - and you KNOW they know how to hold down incredible floor energy.

Ask for upcoming dates so you can see them perform!

🪩 Choose music that will keep everyone dancing. You’re having a wedding with guests to celebrate with everyone - unless you strongly don’t care if it’s just you two on the floor (it’s your wedding!), consider your guests within your sound style.

🪩 Try to start the dance party AFTER it’s dark. Keep your venue lighting dark, and make sure that your DJ brings active lighting.

🪩 NO MATTER WHAT do not stop your dance floor for anything (cake cuttings, mock exits, etc). Your dance party will never come back the same.

🪩 Keep your dance floor near the bar. If your bar is on the other end of the venue, it’s the excuse that your guests need to not be anywhere near your dance party. Add a satellite bar near the dance floor if this isn’t possible in your venue.

🪩 Keep your DJ RIGHT UP AGAINST the dance floor. No one puts baby in a corner! Seriously, if you put a table between your DJ and dance floor, the sound levels and energy will not be as good as they can be.

🪩 Add props and wow moments. Glow sticks and other glow props, C02 gun, bubbles (if it’s outside), live musician surprises - anything to wow your guests on the floor and keep the energy high and unexpected all night.

🪩 Energize your dance floor from the beginning, and have a way to get everyone out there. Kick your party off with a group picture or a fun moment to get everyone onto the floor. At least ask your wedding party to populate it instantly.

🪩 DANCE. If you’re not out there dancing, no one else will want to be either.

🪩 TELL THEM it’s important to you that they dance. Prep your guests in your invite, on your wedding website or in signage on your tables. Let them know how much this moment means to you!
