Summer course registration begins this week, and the African Studies Centre is offering two exciting courses:
AFR290H1 β The Idea of Africa
Explore the discourses and representations that shape understandings of Africa and Africanness. The course is fully online, with asynchronous lectures (Tuesdays by 11 a.m.) and a live discussion session on Thursdays from 11 a.m.β1 p.m.
Instructor: Professor Safia Aidid.
AFR280Y1 β Introductory Swahili
Start learning Swahili! This course introduces basic grammar and vocabulary while exploring East African cultural context. Fully online and asynchronous.
