The Springfield Pics are proud to announce the commitment of Josh Tisdell of Chicopee, Massachusetts to NCAA Division II Franklin Pierce University Men’s Hockey program for the 2024-2025 season. Josh is another player who has worn the historic jersey for over 162 games through multiple seasons as a U15, U16, U18 and the Premier level. He lit the lamp 12 times, garnering 56 assists but it was his steady defensive play that had him on the ice in all situations. When asked about his commitment to play NCAA Hockey this is what he had to say; “I am very happy to announce my commitment to play hockey at Franklin Pierce University this fall. I would like to thank my family as well as the Springfield Pics organization and coaches for all of their support”.

The Springfield Pics are proud to announce that Thatcher Berman from Blanford, Massachusetts has committed to Mass Maritime Academy AAU Men’s Hockey program for the 2024-2025 season. Thatcher has grown up in the system from U15’s, U16’s as well as Jr Elite for the Springfield PICS. In 119 games Berman brought with him a work ethic and leadership on and off the ice that not only produced 9 goals and 17 assists but also the respect of his entire team. When asked about his commitment to play college Hockey this is what he had to say; “I am very excited to begin the next phase of my hockey career with Massachusetts Maritime Academy. I would like to thank everyone involved in the PICS organization. My coaches, teammates, and family have prepared me to the fullest extent to take on the next step in both life and my hockey career. I truly could not have done it without both the environment and community that the PICS have provided me with throughout my years with them”.

Jack played for the PICS Premier team for the past two seasons with 89 games for the Pics, lighting the lamp 28 times, and garnering 56 assists. When asked about his commitment to play NCAA Hockey this is what the New Yorker had to say; “I would like to announce my commitment to Saint Michael’s College. I would like to thank my friends and family for helping me to get to this point. I would also like to thank the entire Springfield Pics coaching staff as well.”

The Springfield Pics are proud to announce the commitment of Colson Hanrahan of Longmeadow, Mass to NCAA Division 1 Hockey East UMass-Amherst. Colson was a member of the Springfield PICS U16’s Back to Back League Championship in 2021 & 2022. In 25 games he had 5 Goals and 42 Assists before being called up for 28 games at the Premier level at only 16 years old. As a result, Colson was drafted by PAL Islanders NCDC and part of the Gary Dineen League Championship in 2023. Colson spent the last half of the 2024 season appearing in 23 games with the Youngstown Phantoms of the USHL. When asked about his commitment this is what he had to say: “Playing for the Springfield Pics U16 team for two seasons under Anthony Sarno and John Sarno helped me grow and develop into the player I am today. I am so grateful for everything that they have done for me and can’t thank them enough. I also want to thank Rob Bonneau for giving me the opportunity to practice and play games with the Premier team at 16 and get a taste of junior hockey. Thank you!”

The Springfield Pics are proud to announce the commitment of Premier Player Kevin Bond of Montreal Quebec to ACHA Lawrence Tech University Men’s Hockey Team for the 2024-2025 season. After a successful Junior season that concluded with 30 games for the Springfield PICS, Kevin will join the Blue Devils of the WHAC Division. When asked of his commitment: "I am very proud to be able to play college hockey at LTU. Thanks to everyone that has helped me along the way!".

The Springfield Pics are proud to announce the commitment of Premier Player Ben Zaranek to NCAA Division III Fitchburg State Men’s Hockey for the 2024-2025 season. This is Ben’s third year for the Premier team and in 68 games (Regular and Playoffs) for the Pics, he has an impressive .950% Saves percentage and a 2.00 Goals against average in that time. When asked of his commitment: “I’m extremely excited to continue my athletic career at Fitchburg for Coach Fuller. I want to thank all my Coaches in Springfield for giving me all the opportunities and taking me in”.
