We often get asked, âWhatâs your cost per square foot?â But this metric is essentially useless for luxury custom homes. Every project is different. Every site is too. And every clientâs vision is uniquie. Cost per square foot masks all the things that make a custom home custom. How do we compare the cost per square foot of one house with a beautiful glass stairway, swimming pool and sport court, to another with a stucco exterior, and upgraded home automation systems? We canât!
The real cost driver isnât the square footage. Itâs the decisions made along the way. And the more of these decisions that can be planned out and budgeted for up front with real quotes from trusted long-term vendors and subcontractors, the better the project will be â with no surprises.
