Sometimes I wonder too 🤔

This is a temporary FIXT Bridge. The “intaglio surface” of a prosthesis is the side that touches the tissue. A fully CONVEX intaglio is 100% necessary for full arch prosthetics… even in the temporary/provisional phase. (The opposite of this is a ridge lap which is fully concave 🤢.) The desired intaglio surface and restorative dimension is the most commonly missed piece of the puzzle when the surgeon and restorative dentist are not 100% dialed into each other’s preferences. But when methodically planned from start to finish, a flowy uniformly convex intaglio CAN be achieved predictably.
Intaglio convexity = clean
Concavity in the intaglio = crap trap
