I was lucky enough to meet Brett James back in 2017 after attending one of his writers rounds in Nashville. He was kind enough to chat with me about music and songwriting. I told him how he’d written so many of the songs that have shaped my love for country music (I Hold On, The Truth, When The Sun Goes Down, Jesus Take The Wheel, just to name a few) and how much of an inspiration he was on me as a songwriter. Rest easy to one of the greats 🙏
