Sometimes the past shows up in the middle of excavation.
While digging the foundation for Lot 2 at Lockwood Lane, we uncovered remnants of the original estate foundation that once occupied the property.
Rather than remove it, our engineering team designed a reinforced footing and wall system that allows the new garage foundation to span over the existing structure.
Quick decisions. Strong engineering. Project stays on track.
Thanks to AEC Engineers for always answering the call.

Draw it.
Build it.
Make it work.

Details like this don’t happen by accident.
Gas lanterns require coordination, planning, and commitment—but they reward you every night with light that feels alive.

Details don’t have to shout to be noticed.
Proportion, alignment, and materials—working together exactly as intended.

Timber frames need insulation on the outside so the structure can stay visible.
Insulated sheathing and structural insulated roof panels make that possible.
The byproduct?
A super tight building.
Which raises the next question:
Where does the ductwork go?
Designing for performance means thinking three steps ahead—not figuring it out after the drywall goes up. InsulatedSheathing CustomHomeBuilder

It takes a team—and we don’t take ours for granted.
From the operator in the seat to the hands on the ground, this is what experience, communication, and trust look like in real time.
We’re fortunate to work with the best.

s caption exactly as-is:
Everyone loves the finished house.
Very few talk about the process that makes it work.
Clear scope. Real budgets. Decisions made early — and held.
That’s how projects stay on track and homes age well.

As the year winds down, the work slows — but the standards don’t.
Good homes aren’t built by rushing decisions at the finish line.
They’re built by getting the fundamentals right from day one.
That mindset carries into the new year.
Every remodel we take on has to pass a simple test.
Does the scope match the risk, the timeline, and the level of decision-making required?
That’s not design theory — that’s Business 101.
When those things align, great projects follow.
When they don’t, everyone loses.

These bedrooms have run cold in winter for years.
The house was built well — but homes change as families change, systems age, and usage evolves.
Today, instead of guessing, we measure.
With the tools and monitoring we use now, we can see patterns, validate comfort complaints, and make targeted improvements — not blanket fixes.
This is exactly why we believe homes deserve diagnostics, not assumptions.

Renovation projects don’t start with demolition — they start with listening.
Today was about understanding how this house actually lives:
– What works
– What doesn’t
– And what the homeowners have noticed over time
Before lines move on paper, we’re on site measuring, asking questions, and validating assumptions.
Good renovations aren’t guesses. They’re informed decisions.
