It’s the time of year when gardens begin to shift, and even the smallest details can make a property feel completely transformed.

Stonework has a way of completely transforming a space. From defining gathering areas to creating a sense of permanence and connection to the landscape, the right stone brings structure, texture, and character to an outdoor setting.

Thoughtfully designed and expertly crafted, these details turn an outdoor space into something that feels truly rooted in its surroundings.

Honoring what came before.

In West Mount Airy, this custom hardscape was thoughtfully designed to complement the home’s historic character while creating a seamless transition between architecture and landscape. From the selection of materials to the scale, proportions, and details of the installation, every element was considered with the existing structure in mind.

The result is an outdoor space that feels both intentional and timeless, as though it has always belonged to the home.

As summer begins to soften around the edges, our gardens start telling a different story.

The vibrant blooms of the season slowly give way to richer textures, deeper tones, and all the beauty that comes with fall. For our container designers, this transition is an opportunity to create something entirely new.

Summer may be fading, but there is plenty of beauty still to come.

Annuals may only be here for a season, but their impact on a garden can last all summer long. And when it comes to zinnias, sometimes even longer.

Our Fine Gardening team thoughtfully incorporates colorful annuals into mature garden beds to add seasonal color, texture, and interest where it is needed most. It’s one of the many ways we keep established landscapes looking fresh and full of life from the last frost through the first.

Late summer is the perfect time to give your garden a little attention before the seasons change. Our Fine Gardening team can clean up spent blooms, refresh planting beds, prune where needed, and prepare your landscape for the months ahead, keeping your garden looking its best well into fall and winter.

As we head into the final holiday weekend of summer, we encourage our clients to truly enjoy the spaces we’ve designed together. Soak them in. Dive in. Dine al fresco. Gather, linger, and enjoy every bit of the backyard splendor we created for you.
