What a treat today to visit and learn about Robert McElroy’s private residence. As someone who owns and have renovated so many of his homes it was so cool to see his unique vision and connection of home with nature exemplified in a different and personal way. So many incredible details created by . Thanks to (check her listings, it’s for sale!) and for bringing us together to share this special home.

Things moving along at our CENTENNIAL RD project. This 1960 MCM had some unfortunate work done on it in the 90’s. We are both updating and bringing it back to its true self inside and out. More to come!

Part II of photos from our POCANOS RETREAT project includes the primary bathroom with custom walnut vanity and double walk-in glass shower. The bedroom features an amazing artisan plaster wall with gold and copper leaf by . We further opened up the sun room by adding large windows and multi-slide doors that extend to flanking decks on either side. The powder room features an integral sink and backsplash in explosion blue granite, while the adjacent mud room has white oak paneling with dark blue inset cubbies.

Part I of photos from our POCANOS RETREAT project. The owners purchased this to be a year-round getaway from New York City. The existing home was built in the mid-90’s and they were looking to completely renovate it to their modern aesthetic. The entire ground floor plan was re-imagined, removing 2 load bearing walls that defined a central kitchen from which the dining and two living spaces orbited. Removing these walls allowed for an open kitchen/living/dining space with expansive views to their wooded 2 acre site, which was enhanced by the addition of large multi-slide doors and further opening up the existing 3-season sun-room. This new open plan now has spaces delineated, not by walls, but spacial heirarchy, with double height vaulted ceilings defining the entry, family and living rooms, while the kitchen and dining rooms have flat ceilings with bedrooms above. The entry received a new glass entry door and sidelights with a new custom curved white oak stair railing. The dining area becomes the new fulcrum of the ground floor, highlighted by a walnut dining table we custom designed (fabrication by ) below a hand blown glass bubble chandelier by Alan Mizrahi. The sleek kitchen is a combination of rift white oak with painted upper cabinents.

Getting close to turnover at our BROADVIEW project. We rebuilt this McElroy from the main level floor up, enlarging the kitchen and adding a new family room in the existing garage. We then added a complimentary detached 2-car garage and rec. room. Excited to get final photos next year when landscaping is complete and things green back up!

Some demo and framing progress photos of our McElroy primary suite addition. We demo’d and reframed the garage to support an upper level primary suite with killer treehouse views. Our goal here was to create a seamless transition from existing to new, playing off the existing massing and detailing so in you won’t know what’s new vs existing. More to come.

The bath house, shade structure and deck are framed at our BROADVIEW project. Roofing and siding are eminent on the main house. Excited to see it all come together and get the pool open for Summer! ☀️🏊‍♂️

Things have been moving fast at our BROADVIEW renovation and detached addition. Main level and addition are now almost fully framed and ready for window install when they are delivered in the next couple of weeks.
