Waycross Police

Good food and good conversation!

Sometimes the job takes an unexpected turn. ❤️

During an accident investigation, one of our officers was asked to lend a helping hand and ended up holding the sweetest little passenger on the scene.

Sergeant Kirkland, Officer Blackburn, and K-9 Officer Whiddon were honored to participate in Wacona Elementary School’s Community Helpers Day! We enjoyed spending time with the students and sharing a little about the important work our officers do every day.

Thank you, Wacona Elementary, for inviting us to be part of such a great event! 💙

The Waycross Police Department congratulates Captain Trent Gibbs on graduating from the FBI National Academy, Session 299, in Quantico, VA, and welcomes him back home. This program consists of 10 weeks of advanced training in leadership, management, and contemporary law enforcement practices, bringing together law enforcement professionals from across the United States and around the world.

Captain Gibbs’s successful completion of this demanding program reflects his dedication to professional excellence, continued growth, and service to the citizens of Waycross. We are proud of his accomplishment and grateful for his commitment to strengthening the Waycross Police Department. Congratulations, Captain Gibbs!

Always great to meet with our community partner, DFCS! We appreciate the continued partnership and collaboration in serving our community. And a special thank you for the great breakfast!

We truly appreciate our Co-Responder, Sarah, for all she does for WPD and our community!

Walking & talking the beat!

A quick, impromptu visit from a great group of kids who wanted to meet an officer!
