💧 Water Damage: Do You Know What Your Homeowners Policy Covers?

Water damage can get expensive FAST.

Flood and surface water are generally not covered by a standard homeowners policy. And if water backs up through a sewer, drain, or sump system, you typically need Backup of Sewer or Drain coverage on your policy for that coverage to apply.

The average cost of water remediation alone can be around $5,200. If you have a finished basement, repairs could easily add another $10,000–$25,000+, depending on the extent of the damage and the quality of the finishes.

And here’s something many homeowners don't realize: you may not have enough coverage to fully handle the loss. Backup coverage often has a minimum deductible of $2,500, and many policies have higher deductibles.

Life Insurance OR Retirement Protection — Which One Do You Need?

If you’re 40, healthy and a non-smoker, you may be surprised how affordable $500,000 of protection can be. A 20-year term policy can be roughly $45–$60/month for a healthy 40-year-old, depending on the carrier, health and underwriting. That’s 20 years of protection for your family when they may need it most.

📈 FIXED INDEXED ANNUITY (FIA)
