We're incredibly proud to see the completion of the new Hybrid Operating Room at UnityPoint Health – St. Luke's Hospital in Cedar Rapids.
It has been an honor for our team at ONE ELEVEN Design Collective to play a role in creating a space that will help advance cardiovascular care for patients across Eastern Iowa. This state-of-the-art facility combines advanced imaging technology with the sterility and flexibility of a modern operating room, allowing physicians to perform increasingly complex, minimally invasive procedures with greater precision.
Projects like this remind us why we do what we do—designing environments that support exceptional patient care and empower the healthcare professionals who make it possible.

St. Luke’s new hybrid operating room offers flexibility, improved tech The larger operating room will give physicians greater flexibility to respond to potential complications that could arise during minimally invasive heart procedures.

Look at that progress! Seeing the overhead booms go in is an exciting sign that St. Luke’s state-of-the-art hybrid operating room is nearing the finish line. 🙌

We are proud to be part of this third and final phase of St. Luke’s transformational $25 million Heart & Vascular expansion, and cannot wait to see the rest of the advanced technology installed and the room fully complete.

"I first heard about Main Street through a friend and coworker who was heavily involved. Around the same time, my husband Jake started volunteering as well. He was working from home and looking for ways to get out of the house and connect with the community. By proxy, we got involved together and found that we really enjoy volunteering as a team, whether that’s selling drinks at a Friday Loo, creating snack bags for the Jingle Bar Hop, or organizing Soup-port Local.
Since moving here, I’ve really found my community through Main Street and the people/ business owners I’ve met along the way. It’s proof that it’s the people and connections that makes Waterloo special."
