Sorry for the lack of set up but I was driving by and quick stopped to grab a moment with these guys. Like everyone else in the neighborhood, I’ve been watching the old Parkview Gardens nursing home site get torn down for future use.

Today I finally caught the process happening in real estate lot development, turns out the first step in building new homes is making the whole lot look like a giant highlighter. :)

Curious what everyone else hopes they build here ?

Had a great time at the Waterloo Career Center High School Expo today!

We met a lot of awesome students and faculty, answered questions about real estate, and spun the prize wheel more times than I can count.

Some stopped by for the candy.
Some for the games.

And a few were actually curious about how buying a house works and what a career in real estate looks like.

It’s always encouraging to see young people thinking about their future and asking great questions. Thanks to everyone who stopped by our booth and made the day a lot of fun!

Facts don’t change based on who says them, they’re true because they hold up.

Most buyers think they need 20% down to purchase a home. It is a good practice, but is largely false.

No matter what friend, post, or headline you hear it from, that’s just not true. There are solid loan options that allow you to buy with as little as 3% down, sometimes even less depending on the situation.

Don’t sit on the sidelines any longer.
If you’ve been thinking about buying but felt stuck there, it might be worth taking another look.
