The Cedar Valley Bicycle Collective (CVBC) is a non-profit that builds community through bicycling.

The Cedar Valley Bicycle Collective is:
A volunteer-driven community bike resource
An entry point for people that may not be ready to purchase a brand new bike
An educational resource for bicycle safety and maintenance

The Cedar Valley Bicycle Collective is NOT:
A bike shop; we do not fix your bikes but we will show you how to fix your bike.

Got an unused bike collecting dust?

🚲 Donate it to CVBC tonight!

We refurbish donated bikes, recycle usable parts, and help put affordable transportation back into the community.

Even bikes that aren’t repairable help fund our mission through recycling and parts recovery.

Drop-offs accepted during open shop hours.

📣 Advocacy matters.

This year CVBC worked with cities and county leaders throughout the region to formally recognize National Bike Month and support safer cycling infrastructure.

We’re proud to advocate for riders in: 🚲 Waterloo 🚲 Cedar Falls 🚲 Waverly 🚲 Evansdale 🚲 Hudson 🚲 Gilbertville …and beyond.

Your support helps amplify the voice of cyclists across the Cedar Valley.

Did you hear that we are one of the beneficiaries of RAGBRAI Gives? Along with the 5 other community bicycle shops in Iowa - Chain Reaction Bike Hub in Cedar Rapids, Street Collective in Des Moines, Dubuque Bike Coop , Iowa City Bike Library , and We-Cycle in Ames.

And we are halfway to our goal of $60,000 raised in 2026 (or $10,000 designated to each bicycle chop). Make a donation at the QR code below or online at the link in bio.

🪖 Safe riding starts early.

CVBC’s free children’s helmet program helped distribute 89 helmets last year so more kids can ride safely and confidently.

We also support bike rodeos and safety events throughout the Cedar Valley.

Your donations help keep these programs rolling. Donate at https://cvbikecollective.square.site/

💚 Help us provide even more helmets, lights, and safety education in 2026.

🕒 Monday: 3–6 PM 🕒 Wednesday: 3–6 PM 🕒 Saturday: 8 AM–12 PM

🚲 For many people in the Cedar Valley, a bicycle isn’t recreation — it’s transportation.

CVBC helps provide reliable refurbished bicycles to veterans, immigrants, students, and community members who need affordable ways to get to work, school, and appointments.

A donated bike can change someone’s daily life.

Help us outfit more riders with bikes, helmets, lights, and locks.

💚 Support the mission today.
