Yesterday our team of super heroes was awarded a grant from Community Foundation of Northeast Iowa. We’re grateful for and celebrate the impact of this grant in advancing our mission to develop the next generation of leaders.

Stronger leaders and communities take teamwork, and a little superpower!

Capes aren’t required to make an impact, but they make Fridays more fun! 😉

You don’t have to fit in to LEAD! Thanks for celebrating Leader In Me Week with us Blessed Maria Assunta Pallotta Middle School!

We are so grateful to the Community Foundation of Northeast Iowa for continuing to support student leaders across the region! Their generosity equips our team to provide Leader in Me programming to nearly 12,000 students throughout the Cedar Valley and surrounding rural communities. 💙

Being a leader isn’t just about having a title, it’s about making positive choices, helping others, taking responsibility, and being a great example for those around you. We are so proud of the way these students are demonstrating leadership throughout the Bosco Catholic School System community!

🌟 Celebrating Our Leaders of the Month! 🌟

We kicked off our first Leader in Me assembly of the school year this week and with it came our first Leaders of the Month!

In K–8, students earn their way into the Leaders of the Month drawing when a teacher or staff member recognizes them for doing something positive. It might be showing kindness, making a good choice, helping someone else, demonstrating responsibility, or simply being a great example to those around them.

At the high school level, Leaders of the Month are selected through nominations from a different academic department each month. September’s nominations came from the Math Department, recognizing students who went beyond simply doing what was expected. Students who stepped up as leaders, showed kindness, supported others, and consistently chose to do the right thing.

Leadership isn't always about having a title or being in charge. Sometimes, it's as simple as noticing someone who needs help, making the right choice when no one is watching, or being the kind of person others can count on.

Congratulations to all of our September Leaders of the Month! We are proud of the ways you are putting leadership into action each day. 💙💛

A great big shoutout to the University of Northern Iowa Wrestling team for joining Becker Elementary for Leader in Me Week. Thank you for showing students what it looks like to be a champion for your community, both on and off the mat! Your time, energy, and example made a meaningful impact on these young leaders.
