Custom Breast Prosthesis legislation is about making sure women have ALL of the choices available to them, whether it be reconstruction, off the shelf breast prosthesis, custom breast prosthesis or to go flat. The Breast Cancer Patient Equality Act bill was introduced by the Senate and House of Representatives on February 26, 2019. 1 in 8 women in the U.S. will be diagnosed with invasive breast cancer. 268,600 women in 2019 will be diagnosed with invasive breast cancer. Medicare does not currently cover custom breast prostheses. This is one of the only body parts that they don't cover for a custom prosthesis! We are campaigning women to be able to have ALL of the choices available to her. #LetHerDecide which choice is best.
