Chaos warming up for a Pheasant Snipe combination limit day before Iowa's pheasant opener. And yesterday the real thing. I've wanted this combo for a lot of years but the snipe migration never timed with our pheasant season till this year!

I'm assembling links to upland bird hunting forecasts for the western 2/3's of the country. Just finished rebuilding this cabinet after it got trashed in transit to Pheasant Fest. I designed it for upland bird mounts, but my sharp tail is 30 yrs. old. I think I need a new bird or two. Maybe Mountain Quail?

DEAD BIRD FLAGS!

We handed out more than 500 free Dead Bird Flags at Pheasant Fest! We're in the process of replenishing our supply before this bird season. They'll be available in 6 packs for $10 and 12 packs for $15.00. New colors will be added: fluorescent green and yellow.

Keep two pinned to your coat/vest. Clip one at your shot location when you drop a bird and the other at the point of fall. You'll spend less time locating downed birds and it'll be easy to return to your shot location to pick up your empties.

The dozen packs are for marking planted birds when training.

Just some pics of Bo from over the years. She's hunted 13 states and taken many combination limits and four double limits of pheasants: MN/ND, MN/SD, ND/SD & IA/MN. She's come within one bird of the IA/NE double three times! She still has a few good years left to take that 6 bird double limit and hopefully the NE/SD as well.
