A small smattering of 2023 moments.

During Annie and Josh's session, I wanted the dogs to stay near Mom and Dad and romp around the field near them - but it took some motivation to get them to be where I wanted them. So we were using a ball and ball thrower. At one point, I asked for the ball thrower so that Annie and Josh could stay in position. Well, I'm not the most coordinated person anyway, and I was so focused on quickly getting my camera back in hand after the throw that I got too excited - and I absolutely decked Josh with the ball. 🤪🥴😬🫠

Josh was such a great sport and laughed it off. I, on the other hand, have officially added that to my highlight reel that plays in my head when I try to find sleep each night.

I'm not posting much any more but couldn't resist a sneak peek of this beauty's session to share with you all.

I know it's been a long time since you've heard from me - but I'm still here and still helping to create lasting memories for you!

I don't plan on resuming the amount of posting I used to do but we can still make magic together.

I know I haven't been posting this year but that doesn't mean I haven't been "clicking" away.

At the end of the session, I was talking to Mom and I didn't notice that Raelynne (middle sister) was trying to talk to me. Dad said, "Kate, she's trying to talk to you." I stopped, got down to her height, and said, "What were you wanting to tell me?"

"Um. Kate. I have to tell you something. I love you."

Be still, my heart.

When Axl was born, we decided to do a quick little outdoor newborn shoot.

And it went perfectly. Really. He slept and slept and slept and let me pose him however I wanted. It was perfection.

Now the kid moves a mile a minute but it's no less perfect.

This adorable family wanted a picture of Dad and his son on a bike. When I saw the difference in hand sizes and the promise of what little Axl will someday become, my heart felt like bursting.
