The Failor Hurley team and our project partners recently celebrated the completion of the Cardiac and Pulmonary Rehab Facility in Waterloo. It was a pleasure to work with UnityPoint Health - Waterloo to bring this project together. Thank you to UnityPoint and the project team for your dedication to completing another great project.

We recently wrapped up construction for the UNI Panther Pantry within the Maucker Union on the campus of the University of Northern Iowa. This project was an interior remodel of an existing unused space to give the Panther Pantry more area and visibility within the Maucker Union. When you have a chance stop by and check it out.

Another great project in the works for Allen College - Unity Point Health.

The Allen College Simulation Lab project is an 7,100 square foot addition and renovation to the existing McElroy Hall building. When completed the space will house a new skills lab, mock exam rooms, debrief rooms, student study area, and a large classroom.

The project team has been excited to see great progress through the winter months.

Responsibilities
• Oversee field operations
• Implement safety culture and safety programs
• Coordination of 20+ employees on multiple jobsites
• Manage field staff hiring, training, timesheets, and documentation
• Track vehicle fleet, owned equipment, and rental equipment
• Yard and shop organization and inventory
• Collaborate with customers and subcontractors for successful projects
Qualifications
• Minimum 5-years construction supervisor experience
• Roles with a general contractor in commercial or industrial construction
• Preferred Bachelor’s degree in construction management or similar field
• Understanding of commercial construction blueprints and project specifications
• Experience with construction equipment including operation and maintenance
• Ability to prioritize daily and manage across multiple projects and sites
• History of teamwork, leadership, and problem solving

Exciting times for the Waterloo PACE Clinic.

To all of our employees, clients, subcontractors, and design professionals, we wanted to thank you for a great 2024. Here's to a great 2025.

Congratulations to Fifth Street Tire on the successful completion and relocation into your newly remodeled space. Thank you for including Failor Hurley Construction in this project.

The Waterloo PACE Clinic achieved substantial completion on July 1, 2024. This project is a 20,000 SF new build. The project has the open day center area with physical therapy space and a multi-purpose room. The clinic has a large nurse station, four exam rooms, and one treatment room. The administration area consists of the reception area, 3 consultation rooms, open office areas, private offices, and a large open conference room.

Failor Hurley Construction self-performed the structural steel er****on, cement board siding install, installation of the finish carpentry items including casework, countertops, and wall protection. We also installed all doors, frames and hardware.

We are getting closer to completion on the Waterloo PACE Clinic. Sod has started on the exterior as the finishing touches are being completed inside. Check back later for an update after substantial completion.

Yesterday some Failor Hurley Construction team members and families got together for a night of hockey with the Waterloo Blackhawks. It was a great night to get together and celebrate a job well done by all over the past year. The night got even better with a Waterloo Blackhawks WIN!
