The Metropolitan Chorale exists to build community in our region through bringing people together to make great music that moves audiences.
We welcome all singers (no audition required) and perform 2-4 concerts per year! The Metropolitan Chorale, comprised of singers from Iowa's Cedar Valley, annually performs 2-3 concerts with orchestra and soloists in various Waterloo and Cedar Falls venues. It is an organization of amateur and professional vocalists under the direction of Ryan Occena.

We’re excited to share that Iowa Public Radio Classical will broadcast the Waterloo-Cedar Falls Symphony’s Opera For All concert tomorrow night — Tuesday, September 15 at 7 PM — as part of its Performance Iowa: Symphonies of Iowa series! 📻🎼
Recorded live last November at the Gallagher Bluedorn, Opera For All brought together wcfsymphony, the Metropolitan Chorale and Bel Canto Cedar Valley for an unforgettable celebration of opera’s greatest choruses.
Relive the drama, emotion and power of favorites from Verdi’s La Traviata, Mozart’s The Magic Flute and more — performed by orchestra and a magnificent chorus of voices.

Oktoberfest is a'comin'! Do you know what that means?? Beer Choir!! 🍻 Join us at Anton's Garden on September 26th from 3pm-5pm to sing and be jolly! Beer Choir hymnals will be provided, so all you need to do is bring your beautiful selves, some friends, your voice, and a spirit ready to celebrate, sing, and have great time! Address is 518 Sycamore St., Waterloo.
Follow us for more info and don't forget that tomorrow is the last day to register for this semester! Rehearsals are Monday nights from 7-9pm, with registration from 6:30-7pm. See you there!

Come sing with us on Monday, August 24th at Naz in Bethel Hall**, 7401 University Ave, Cedar Falls, IA 50613, from 7-9pm. Registration will be from 6:30-7:00pm in front of Bethel Hall. Feel free to bring finger foods as well because we'll have a little social time before rehearsal starts.
NEW members, we recommend showing up closer to 6:30 so you can attend a new member orientation at 6:45.

Singing isn't just for in the car! Use that voice and come sing with a passionate and talented group of singers! Meet us on Monday, August 24th, at 6:30 pm at Bethel Hall in Naz Church at 7401 University Ave, Cedar Falls, IA 50613. Rehearsals go from 7-9pm. You do not have to commit the first rehearsal - no worries! Registration will be the first 3 rehearsals (no rehearsal on Labor Day) starting at 6:30pm. NEW MEMBERS - come early so you can be there for new member orientation at 6:45!

Come sing again!! Whether you loved singing in high school choir, or love singing in your car, bring your voice to the Metropolitan Chorale! All ages, all voices are welcome!
Rehearsals begin for our fall semester on Monday, August 24th from 7pm-9pm at Bethel Hall inside Nazareth Lutheran Church, 7401 University Ave, Cedar Falls. Registration will take place at 6:30pm for the first 3 rehearsals, and you can also come sing a few times before committing to decide if you want to join for the full semester. Stay tuned for more info and to register online.

Thank you to Waterloo Elks Lodge Weddings and Events for hosting the Metropolitan Chorale for the lively Beer Choir event on the final day of the Iowa Irish Fest! A great time was had by all!!
We missed Throwback Thursday so we're going to do ! 😁 As we get closer to starting our semester, it's a great reminder to all musicians (and our audiences!) that we all start "at the beginning" and grow little by little until performance day. Enjoy a recap from Dan Forrest's Jubilate Deo we did with Cedar Falls High School Choir and other elite instrumentalists in the area! This piece has 7 movements - each one sung in a different language, including Mandarin and Zulu. Stay tuned for details on the upcoming semester!
