From the classroom to the kitchen. Our Hospitality students just completed a real-world lesson in equipment procurement by sourcing our new Range. They managed the entire process in real-time, including securing bids, making vendor calls, and working directly with the fantastic team at at KaTom Restaurant Supply.

Thanks to federal Perkins Funding, our program now features a new unit with 6 burners, 2 ovens, a flat top, and a broiler. We look forward to utilizing it for our upcoming campus events.

The Diesel Technology program hosted 16 employers in their new space in Butler Hall this morning for a career fair. Forty-two students were able to explore career opportunities, connect with employers, and map out their futures!

Wow, Hawkeye Admissions has been on a roll with College Application Days! Today we got to help Cedar Falls High School students apply to Hawkeye!🫶

Just another day on the farm 👨‍🌾 ☀️

Today, 150 high school students visited our 260-acre Farm Lab for an Ag Career Exploration Day 🚜 🌾 Students toured the farm, participated in hands-on activities, and learned about the incredible Animal Science, Natural Resources, Diesel Tech and Ag Business programs here at Hawkeye. And of course, they got to pet the cows! 🐮
