...sigh.
We regret to inform y'all that our hoods are down again. We're contacting some folks to get the issue solved as quickly as possible, but we won't be able to serve our guests safely for lunch service today. Depending on the timeline of the repair we may try to reopen for dinner, and we will try our hardest to be here for you tomorrow and for My Waterloo Days this weekend!
We get it, the equipment issues here seem excessive. That's just a challenge we're trying to overcome so we can continue to serve y'all our flavor and brand of midwest comfort.
We'll keep y'all posted as to what the plan is, til then, take courage 🖤🖤

Our iconic neons are getting fixed one letter at a time thanks to JSA Development and the hard work of Nagle Signs Inc.
That hailstorm that took out so much of our image will soon be just a memory.
We're so thankful to have such great companies to work with here in Waterloo!

Alright team, here's what we know:
1. Star Refrigeration is awesome to work with. They'll be helping us get a new compressor for our walk-in cooler! 🤩
2. Repair will begin on our cooler tomorrow mid-morning. Because of the timeline we won't be open for breakfast or lunch tomorrow, we have a goal of opening for dinner service on Friday night. 😅
3. We had to part ways with thousands of dollars in product due to the rising temperatures of the cooler. We tried to salvage what we could, but the quality of our food and our guests' safety comes first. ❤️💔❤️
4. We've taken time today to deep clean, and we'll be taking time tomorrow morning and afternoon to bring in our new product, prep up all the necessary ingredients, and get ready for a stellar weekend with y'all. 🥳
5. On Tuesday next week we're releasing a new menu! Hooray! Something to really look forward to! We're keeping our biggest sellers, moving some things around, and will offer some brand new menu items! We've got some new cocktails and dirty sodas and a new dessert partnership on the horizon, too! 😉
Hey friends and followers, unfortunately we have to close today due to our cooler malfunctioning. The warmer temps have put a stress on our old system and are threatening to destroy thousands of dollars worth of food.
To try to mitigate possible waste we are opting to close today in hopes that we can get the necessary repairs done while keeping our food held at safe temperature. Our walk-in freezer is doing a great job, we have ice packs on what we can and are moving other product to our reliable line refrigerators, but without an operational walk-in cooler we aren't in a position to safely store food.
We're reaching out to local refrigeration specialists as we're about out of options as far as what we can do in-house.
This means we'll reopen as soon as safely possible and we will absolutely let y'all be the first to know!
For those of you following along, 2026 is *really* trying to do us dirty, but we keep on fighting our way through thanks to the support and advice from y'all.
Thank you all for your patience and for following along 🖤

Happy Memorial Day weekend friends!
There's a LOT happening downtown this weekend, we kicked it off with Main Street Waterloo's Friday Loo last night and this afternoon we get a front row seat to the 4th Street Cruise! If you're visiting today, our parking lot will be open, but be advised that 4th street will be closed from 11:30 until the cruise ends at 3. So, if you want to hang with us at Newton's all afternoon, feel free to park in our lot, otherwise be sure to park off the route!
For those of you looking to chill on the patio, we've got beer buckets available, mix and match for $22.00!
We decided to bring back our Marry Me Chicken Soup for the weekend, as well as continue offering our new fan favorite, the Banana Bread French Toast!
We hope to see you this weekend!
Hey friends and followers, due to staffing issues we will be closing at noon today.
We apologize for the short notice. Thanks as always for your support!

Mother's Day is tomorrow and we're ready to celebrate at Newton's!
Bring mom by for a free beverage of her choice - a hot mug of Fat Cup Coffee, a glass of juice, or *any* of our cocktails 🥰🥰🥰
And hey dog/cat/bird/skunk (?) moms, we see you too! The very same can be yours, also!
We want to thank all the mothers in our lives for being there whenever we call, no matter what we need.
From our family to yours, Happy Mother's Day!
