Their tireless efforts have empowered countless students, and though their absence will be deeply felt, we're equally thrilled to see them embark on this new chapter.

☀️ Free Summer Meals are Back for 2026! 🍎
School might be out soon, but the cafeteria is staying open! The Waterloo Community School District is thrilled to announce our participation in the 2026 Summer Food Service Program.

We’re making sure our students stay fueled and ready for summer fun with FREE meals for all children ages 18 and under. No registration, no paperwork, and no charge—just show up and eat!

Important Note for 2026:
To keep things fresh and safe, all meals must be enjoyed on-site this year. Grab a seat, catch up with friends, and enjoy a healthy meal on us! 🥗🥛

Thursday morning, Kendra Tucker and Olivia Grayson attended the Waterloo Schools Foundation Sparkling Academic Excellence Breakfast. Their display highlighted the Accepting the Challenge of Excellence Award from the Sunrise Exchange Club, of which they are both recipients. They also showcased our ongoing partnership with the Sunrise Exchange Petting Zoo. Well done, ladies!

Congratulations to EXPO senior Olivia Grayson! Olivia has been selected as our Overall ACE Recipient of the Year in partnership with the Sunrise Exchange Club. Olivia's ACE Essay is advancing to the Sunrise Exchange Club's district competition. Best of luck Olivia!

Some EXPO-ALC Lighthouse students dropped off their Pickles for Paws donations at the Cedar Bend Humane Society on Thursday—and even got to play with some adoptable cats!

During the month of March, EXPO Leader in Me Lighthouse Students held their 2nd Annual Pickles for Paws fundraiser. As part of this fundraiser, students sold dill pickles at EXPO, the Waterloo Career Center, and Central Middle School. The funds raised will be used to purchase much-needed supplies for the Cedar Bend Humane Society. 🐾💕🌟
