🌲🥾 Just a Nice, Relaxing Hike… They Said! 😂
Tina and I decided to head out for a little hike in the woods. Fresh air, beautiful scenery, a little exercise… what could possibly go wrong? 🤷♂️
Well, apparently nobody told us we were signing up for an extreme wilderness survival expedition! 😂
We were enjoying ourselves until we came face-to-face with what appeared to be the BIGGEST fallen tree in the history of hiking! 🌳😳
Turning around wasn’t an option. We had come too far. So, with determination, courage, and possibly a complete lack of common sense, we began our climb! 💪🤣
I’m happy to report that both hikers survived the great fallen tree crossing! No rescue helicopters required! 🚁😂
Sometimes the biggest adventures come from the simplest plans.
Moral of the story: Never underestimate a peaceful walk in the woods… you never know what mountains you might have to climb! 🌲
A Meaningful Exchange. A Lasting Memory. 🪙🇺🇸
Some of the most memorable moments in life aren’t planned. They’re the connections made along the way.
I had the honor of exchanging challenge coins with two Alabama State Troopers and receiving five incredible coins in return.
Each coin represents more than a design or a collectible. It’s a reminder of the people we meet, the respect we share, and the memories we carry forward.
A sincere thank you to both troopers for taking the time to make this such a memorable experience!

Some places don’t require many words.
A flag flying above rows of white headstones—each one representing a life, a family, a story, and a willingness to serve something greater than oneself.
Today I visited Alabama National Cemetery.
I came to pay my respects.
I left reminded of the meaning of service, sacrifice, and remembrance.
May we never forget those who served.
May we never forget those who never came home.
And may we always honor those who now rest beneath these grounds.
🇺🇸 Honor. Remember. Respect.
Sometimes the best road trips are about where you end up along the way. 🏍️🐢
Made a stop at That Turtle Place Sanctuary in Coker, Alabama, just outside Tuscaloosa, and met a few of the locals. From the little guys to some seriously BIG tortoises, this was definitely a worthwhile stop.
Another reminder that adventure doesn’t always need a destination—it just needs a road worth following.

Some days the miles come easy.
Today, the wind had other plans.
There were stretches where it felt like I was pedaling hard just to convince the bicycle we were still moving forward. 😂
How windy was it?
Well… let’s just say the cows were having trouble staying put. 🐄💨
But that’s part of it. You don’t always get to choose the conditions—you just decide whether you’re going to keep moving through them.

Then out of nowhere…
🐢💨 TURTLE!!!!
Apparently nobody told this guy that turtles are supposed to be SLOW. 😂
One second I’m just pedaling along, minding my own business. The next, I’m negotiating right-of-way with a four-legged speed bump wearing its own helmet.
