One of my goals for 2021 is to learn some new stitches! I know all the classics, but part of why I love embroidery is the history and breadth of this craft. Over thousands of years it’s barely changed- all you need is a needle, fabric, and thread. And hundreds of different stitches and techniques can make everything from dresses to art to furniture beautiful! I picked up this stitch dictionary this week and I’m going to challenge myself to learn a few new stitches every week in 2021, using all the colors I have! I’m also going to try these new stitches using canvas, which I’ve always wanted to try. Let me know if your favorite obscure stitch and your go-to’s that’s you use over and over!

This pretty pattern was just added to the store! Fun new Saturday project while we’re all stuck at home (still, ugh) that you can download and print in like one minute. Only $6! I designed this one a few years ago, but finally got around to updating it- it’s one of my all-time favorites!
